This June Chris & I celebrated our 11th Anniversary. Knowing that next year there would be a baby in our home and that would make it a bit more difficult to travel we decided to take an extended weekend to celebrate the last 11 years. We traveled to a resort location in China called Sanya. It was an amazing time of rest for us and we loved some time devoted to remembering our last years together and thinking and praying through the years to come. Friends helped watch the kiddos and gave us a wonderful opportunity to relax. We're so thankful!
The water and beach were beautiful but the water was a little too rough for me to enter- the tide was too strong and I thought a little too dangerous for preggo me. So, we spent a little time on the beach and many hours in the hotel's swimming pool. We also took a bike ride around the resort area and ate out for a special meal together.
Mostly we just sat in awe of the silence. Actually the first afternoon we didn't do much of anything- even talking. We asked each other if everything was ok- we were fine, just taking in the peace and quiet that we can't experience in our city. :)
Wow! Your 11th anniversary! I love the irony that you are prego on your anniversary, and I was prego at your wedding! We can't wait to see the photos of your new baby boy!!
